originalhedonism asked: how are youuu? :) just been reading this (kind of shitty and bitchy) article on mixmag, mentions you: /music/the-blog/things-people-say-to-pretend-they-know-about-dance-music was wondering if its true that you are "geting more bookings in the States" than in the UK now or are they chatting shit? XXX
Hi Hatty! I’m very well thank you, how are you? I’ve had quite a few people get in touch about that article today, mostly friends pointing out i’ve been mentioned - Which is great!
I don’t agree that America is ‘The new home of bass’, because i know quite a few countries and clubs where the low-frequency sound is thriving, and i’ve played in some of those clubs and countries this year with great turn-outs and reactions to the music, but Seb is right to mention America as there is a strong scene out there at the moment and every successful underground low-frequency music producer seems to either be about to do a full U.S tour (Like i am in April) or is just coming off a successful U.S tour.
It isn’t necessarily true that i’m getting ‘More bookings in the States than in U.K’ - I’ve been playing outside of the U.K regularly now for a while, everywhere from Turkey to Croatia to Belgium to Sweden, and i’ve only played a few shows in America, but the tour in April will even things out - I’m fitting in quite a few shows in the two weeks, which is down to how hungry America is for my sound (Thankfully), so… What Seb is saying is correct.
Why do you ask? Are you thinking of moving out there to join in the fun?
